  1. What are the Tour Inclusions?

We will work towards making your Tour of Malnad a pleasant experience.

Your package will include the following:

  • All meals during the tour

  • 3 nights stay in twin sharing accommodation

  1. What kind of Cycles are allowed? Are MTB allowed?

The tour distances are designed for road bikes and any kind of human powered bicycles will be allowed on the tour. Make note that riding must be completed within the cut-off times and we would provide support for every single rider to make sure she / he completes the ride safely.

  1. Tour Start and End points

The Tour of Malnad would start in Bengaluru and end in Chikmagalur. Riders need to report in Bengaluru by 28th January for a pre-tour briefing and logistics planning.

Tour will be flagged-off from Bengaluru on 29th Jan morning 6:00 am and ride will take us through Hassan, Kukke Subramanya, Chikmagalur, Mullayanagiri and Baba Budanagiri. We have planned the ride on non-peak days to avoid the weekend traffic and enhance the riding experience.

Ride will conclude at chikmagalur by noon of 1st February and you will be transported back to Bengaluru by end of day of February 1st by Bus. Bikes will be transported along with the buses so that you can collect your bikes once you reach Bengaluru.


  1. Backup Support on the ride

We will provide a sweep vehicle at the rear of the group to pick up or address any breakdowns.

There will be support stations available on the route for hydration and first aid. Each support station will have a cut-off time provided. If the rider does not reach by the cut-off times they need to be picked up by the truck.

Safety comes first and there will be no riding after 6 p.m. or Sunset. We should plan to complete the ride much before the cut-off time provided.


  1. Indemnity for the tour

Organizers will make all effort to make this a safe and memorable tour. Riders need to indemnify the organizers for any untoward incidents like theft, health or accidents. The organizers will have no responsibility towards your personal belongings and safety for the tour. Participants need to make insurance provisions for the tour duration and organizers will not be liable for any expenses towards medical or any unforeseen incidents.


  1. Race Segments

Each day a race segment will be identified which will be intimated to the riders in the tour briefing document and the dinner briefings. The race segments are Individual time trials and recording will be shared at the end of the day.

A short briefing and Green caps will be awarded to the best male and female rider of the day. This competitive segment will be introduced to make it more engaging and fun for the riders.

  1. My Bike essentials and spares

Riders need to plan for their bike spares and essentials. Each bike is unique, and you need to plan for the spares to ride safe and be independent on the tour. The backup vehicle will carry some bike spares which will be charged and there may be compatibility issues.


  1. How to plan my bag and baggage

Each rider can bring one bag of max 40 liters capacity to carry the essentials and clothing for the 4 days tour. The bags need to be tagged with the Rider Name and Bib Number allocated to the Bike and Rider. Avoid any expensive and fragile items (SLR camera, electronics, laptop etc.) in the baggage. Organizers are not responsible for any damage, theft or loss. Please take appropriate measures to safeguard your bag.


  1. Where will I be staying?

Twin sharing accommodation will be provided during the tour, the hotels will be identified in advance and be notified to you upfront. Breakfast and Dinner will be served at the hotels where we will be staying.

  1. Can I volunteer?

The tour would need volunteers on motorbikes for marshalling, photography and logistics. You are welcome to contact us for volunteering pro-bono. Please call / WhatsApp us on 9606622006

  1. Can I get my family members along?

The tour will not be able to accommodate any additional members other than registered participants. If the rider is open to making his own personal arrangements, he is welcome to invite members and support the tour logistics.
